I read Gabriel Marcel's main book when I was in my philosophy Masters and I remember it made quite an impression on me. It was one of four books that I bought that I had already read (usually I don't read books multiple times, but I was in need of something that was both productive and nostalgic), so I'm going to start working my way through it.



If the freedom of a people or a country be defined as absolute independence, is it not obvious that in a world like ours freedom cannot exist, not only because of the inevitable economic interdependences, but because of the part played by pressure, or, less politely, by blackmail, at all levels of international intercourse? (11)


But perhaps I will put this to the side for now for my recent purchase, Mohammed: A Prophet of our Time. I have many questions. Perhaps I will find some answers in here.
